Hi,
I am trying to build a balance sheet / Income Statement report in Crystal. I have to group specific accounts from the GL hierarchy and display them together with a subtotal. I will have different groups for Assets, Liabilities and Net Income.
If someone has worked on a similar requirement can you please let me know how you started with it and also if there is a specific way in which I will need to build my query using the query designer.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards
Varun
To add further to the information:
I have a GL hierarchy which consists of accounts within folders or you can say it has text nodes. If my report get grouped exactly by these text nodes my issue should be nearly solved. However, when I get the hierarchy in crystal using a Bex Query the text nodes do not come along. All that i get are the accounts from the hierarchy ( i Have the hierarchy turned on in the query itself.) How can i get these text nodes in the report.
Thanks

Hi Ingo,
the hierarchy that I am using has text nodes as well in it which are used to group the accounts appropriately in the hierarchy. Now when I drag the hierarchy to the crystal I cannot see the text nodes. How can I see the text nodes in my report. without them I will not be able to get the hierarchy in the report. I am referring to the example of financial statements report from the link you sent.
Thanks
Varun
