How to read result of role compare across systems in SUIM (RSUSR050)

Dear all,

We upgraded the system from 4.6C to ECC6. I need to perform a role comparison between systems.

In the previous system the result of this report was easily to use, but in the ECC 6 version, I'm lost on how to interprete the output.

Can anyone help me on how to "read" and understand the outcome? Or direct me to a little tutorial...

Thanks in advance!

Kristof

Hi Kristof,

There is no such tutorial. Even ECC6 version of role comparison is a simple one and easy to understand. Any difference in objects/field values is denotes as "red" light and same values have "green" light. Double clicking on any object will show the values which are maintained in that object against the roles(A and B).

Let me know what you are not able to understand or confused about it.

Hi,

new version just uses ALV instead of stupid list. SAP Developer even called it "General usabilitiy enchancements". So it should be easier to use :-). There is also icon with letter I which has some basic info about report. But if you really want to use old version, the old includes are there so you can make a copy of standard report and revert changes.

Cheers

Apparently the problem with the report was that the values coming from the called system (via RFC) could not be interpreted by the calling system. So the values we got in the output of the SUIM compare are not correct and confusing. This is also why it could not be read or understand.

The basis team here has created a copy of the program behind the suim compare and did some changes. Now it's returning the correct values (don't know exactly what they did, something to do with header data/unicode ???). I think they will raise a SAP request.

Thanks for the help.
