Thanks a lot for your help,,

Hi Winsor,

Do you have SAP_BW (patch check SPAM) in your system (I guess all ECC have them). Also there's no harm running this report in ECC it will generate a file which you can open in your text editor and see native DLL (create) statements if above program found any single of them. If found then copy this file to dump folder before you start your migration.

Please refer SAP Note: 888210.

Thanks,

In the System copy guide (for NW 7.01) it is not optional, also when in sapinst, the program asks if you already did run this SMIGR_CREATE_DDL report. This is done to be able to export also non standard database objects so I really recomend to do it even if nothing is generated, the only think you will loose is about 5 minutes so why don´t run the report to be sure?, I always do this just in case.

Have a nice day

Hi Anvardheen,

  • Before taking the Export you have to run the report SMIGR_CREATE_DDL in SA38.
  • The report will generate the SQL files containing DDL statements for non-standard ABAP database objects
  • Please see the system copy guide for more information. Let me know if you need further information.

Thanks

Hi Dheen AJ,

SMIGR_CREATE_DDL ABAP report is used to generate database specific statements for non-standard SAP objects in ABAP dictionary in source system.

This report is needed for all the systems >= 6.40 versions. BW functionality is part of ABAP Web AS 6.40 and above systems.

Similarly, post migration script(RS_BW_POST_MIGRATION) is also needed irrespective of if the system is R3 or BW.

Raghu Chukkapalli.

From what I see, it is BW.

See SAP note 777024.
