Crystal Reports 2008 SP1 and SQL Server 2008

Hi here,

I'm currently using Crystal Reports 2008 RTM (12.0.0.549) and have not felt hte need to upgrade before now.

However, we are starting tomove to SQL Setver 2008 as the back-end for our reports, so I was looking to upgrade to SP1/V1 (12.1.0.982) becasue it says it provides support for SQL Server 2008. I have looked at the release notes for SP1 and there is no mention of SQL Server 2008 so I wondered what this support is?

I have also seen a lot of problems raised by people trying to connect to SQL Server 2008 and not being bale to login - we have also had this problem and I was hoping upgrading to SP1/V1 would help, but I'm concerned it may make things worse!

Can anyone advise?

NB. SQL Server 2008 is on Standard Edition 10.0.2710.0.

Thanks, John
