Does AIF have a similar concept to the SAP MDG DRF Change Pointers ?.
The nice thing about DRF is that a change to a transactional or master data record is simply recorded with a DRF Change Pointer. Hence the actual Transactional part is decoupled from the Interface part. This allows for multiple changes to be made to a record but only 1 Change Pointer. So if you wanted to only send out 1 message rather than multiple messages this can controlled by the data replication framework.
Hello,
I’m not sure if I get your point 100% correct.
AIF is used to process and / or Monitor messages. If AIF is used to process a message the initial step of triggering the message has already happened. At the moment there is no functionality to collect the messages and send them out at a later point in time. From my point of view that would also be not the correct to stop a message during processing of the message and start checking if there will be additional changes and messages can be combined or skipped. This should be handled by the applications and not during message processing.
Why would you need a similar concept inside AIF?
Best Regards

Hi Britta
thanks for your reply. I was hoping that AIF would offer this functionality so that I would not need yet another product such as DRF to achieve this. The DRF change pointer allows you to decouple the transaction side from the interface side and so you let the Framework decide when an interface needs to be triggered rather than at the point of a user pressing save - this is a great feature. I was hoping that AIF would offer a similar feature.
