Good morning experts,
i see in various OSS notes that should exist the possibility to set a Valutation rule as
"informational" (for example 2611027 - RECEEP: Additional checks for informational valuation rule).
Can anyone tell me how can i set a valutation rule in this way and possibly what does it means?
Thanks in advance
Giuseppe Simone
Hello,
with reference to the scenario of Informational valuation rule, do you think it would be feasible to set up a contract with a Valutaion rule set like this (Informational) from 01.01.2024 and then change the setting of the rule after one year (i.e. from 01.01.2025) and start to send information in accounting, with value at that datavalue of the asset and RoU at 01.01.2025)?
Thank you

Informational valuation rule means that the valuation calculated and amortization schedule generated from the valuation run will not be posted. You can view them in the reports and in the contract overview but no accounting documents will be posted against them when you run the periodic valuation posting run.
This is typically useful if you're simulating scenarios for valuation, for example, for an audit review, where the auditors need to validate the calculations from SAP with a consideration date before the actual go-live or transfer date.

Vengaiah thank you for your reply.
But my question was about the field Informational that you find in the set up of the valutation rule.
It seems to be a new functionality and i would like to know if someonae have already tested how it works.
Other question for you.
do you think it would be feasible to set up a contract with only Statistic condition? I probably need to avoid to post by RERAPP.
Do you see any complications (BP, Registration rules, cash flow or more simply some problem with the clearing of compensation account handle via valutation rule).
Thank you and best regards.
Giuseppe

Hi Simone,
To make valuation rule informational , underlying conditions has to be statistical for a given contract. Which means you will not have impact on financials or it will not create any financial documents for respective contracts/conditions.
The note specified above or Badi mentioned in the note will provide you the ability to put in additional validations to before posting on the RE side.
Thanking you
Vengaiah
