PI 7.11 - Problems with adapter metadata

Hi alltogether,

I tried to generate a File (FTP) adapter on a PI 7.11 System (No Upgrade - new installation).

It was not able to activate the adapter because the system raised an error message that SAP PI Basis Software Component 7.10 is required. On an other system both software components are installed SAP PI BASIS 7.10 and 7.11. Here it works, even if I chosse a the adapter with version 7.11.

Is it neccessary to install SAP Basis Software Component 7.1 also? The disadvantage is, all adapters will be listed twice. For version 7.10 and version 7.11. This is not so nice.

I am not sure if 7.11 is needed but 7.1 SWC is needed for sure.

Since you have new installation PI 7.11, can you help me in finding the "adapter metadata" in your PI 7.11 (installation):

In your newly build PI 7.11, do you have "Adapter Metadata" in your ES Repository in the software component version SAP Basis 7.11 in the namespace http://sap.com/xi/XI/System ?

I am able to locate the adapter metadata in PI 7.11. (my usage profile need to be changed to see the PI 7.11 adapter metadata).

It is hard to understand
