Transfer asset value to another with in a company without transferring prior period dep

Hi Tech friends,

Greetings!

I have a requirement where business user wants to transfer a asset from one asset class "A0001" to another asset class "A0002" without transferring prior year posted depreciation.

For example

Cost=700

Accum Depn=-200

NBV=300

Yr1 DepExp=100

Yr2 Dep Exp=100

We want to move the $700 and $-200 to a new Asset in "A0002" class.

The 2 years of Depn expense need to stay on the old asset P&L accounts.
