Importing the processes to Solution documentation

Hi Team ,

Currently we are adding Folders , scenarios , processes and process steps manually into the solution documentation. Is there a way to add the details in excel and import the excel sheet so that the folder structure would be created easily?

Please share any video links or template documents of the process along with your answers if possible

The step-by-step procedure is the same as the one described in the SAP Note. You may find additional info with the wiki:

https://help.sap.com/viewer/60943adf3ff44893b62c568bb8a87d17/7.2.06/en-US/7d856b573f4a0222e10000000a...

Only initial upload is officially supported.

There are people who support the idea that deal upload works anyway, but you'd just have to try and see. There is no SAP support for delta update.

Understood. My last follow up question would be, if i build the solution documentation once in Development, can i export the entire documentation and then upload it to maybe QA easily ?

Absolutely. You can export the whole Branch or a part of it (through the Scope feature)!

Hi ,

I understand that there is a template to upload within the Import tab of Solution Manager , but it doesnt add to the existing structure.

Instead it recreates the folders at a different level. Is there any way that we can add/update to the already existing structure.?

Hi,

Yes there are several workarounds for this:

You can create a new, empty branch under your current one, upload the new structure into it and then use the releasing function to release the structure into the upper, original branch.

You have to be very precise on the level of the structure loaded because you cannot move between levels, therefor load into the exact level you need and merge into the current structure.

could you please elaborate.

Hello,

The feature is standard with SP06.

Otherwise you can read the following SAP Note: https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2509832
