Hi all,
I've not looked too far into this, but I'm wanting to create a physical inventory document using MI31. My issue is you are able to select only either:
Materials with Zero Stock OR
Materials without Zero Stock
If I select the first, the system pulls every material meeting the selection criteria and finds EVERY batch that ever existed for that material and adds it to the PID.
If I select the second option, only materials/batches with existing stock in the system are included.
Neither of these options are suitable because there are too many OLD batches in the system for a material to choose the first option, and the second option means if we happen to not have inventory in the system at all for a given material, it will not be included on the count sheet. This is an issue because there may physically be inventory of the a material that wasn't included in the count sheet, yet there is nothing to prompt the counter to attempt to find the inventory in the warehouse.
Is there a way to create a count sheet whereby you use some additional logic, like say if the batch has zero stock but HAS had movement in the past 6 months then include in count sheet?
Any ideas/suggestions would be great.
Physically we can make sure we mark everything that has been counted physically in the warehouse, then walk through at the end and find inventory that hasn't been counted and investigate why, however a solution like above may negate this.
Thanks,
Mark
