How to use FM CRM_ERMS_MAIL_SEND

We need to create and send an emial to a business partner, after they triggered an action. CRM_ERMS_MAIL_SEND was suggested in another thread. My problem is, I do not now how to populate the parameters of the FM. There is no documentation on it and no instructions as to what the values should be.

Can you please assist in that regard or mabe suggest another FM for us to use.

I know it's an old post, but anyways you can have a look at BAdI EXEC_METHODCALL_PPF and filter CRM_COMPL_MAIL. In the execute method you will find a call for function module CRM_ERMS_MAIL_SEND.
