How to assign default application to edit document in BDS?

There is need to add new document type into BDN and set default application to view and edit documents of this type.

So, I have searched a lot and completed these steps (following advices):

1. added new extension in DC30;

2. added new workstation application in network (with %AUTO% instead of path to application) for this extention;

3. created new document type in OAC2;

Now in BDN (OAOR) this new document type appears. But it isn't associate with any application (column "Default application" in still empty).

And when I try to edit uploaded document of this type, I get error SBDS307 "No application suitable for processing the document was found". What I have done wrong?

May be it should be customized id ArchiveLink?

Hi,

What application type you are uploading and check whether it is maintained in application table e.g. word file or text etc.

There are several types:

+ xml (Excel's 2002 format)

+ xml (Word's 2003 format)

+ xlsx (ooxml Excel's 2007) - zipped xml

+ docx (ooxml Word's 2007) - zipped xml
