A new Business Scenario Mapping in SAP

Hi,

I have a new business scenario with one of my client.

Business Scenario is like this:

1. Material needs to be transferred to government agencies. Inventory should be deducted from my plant and should be displayed with govt agencies.

2. They will do some reseach work on the material and send the material back to my client.

3. Material is excisable. But for this scenario since govt is involved no sales tax and nill excise.

4. If govt will not be able to transfer all the material back, they will pay for the differences. For example, we have sent 100 tonne material and we have received back only 99.5 Tonne. Govt will pay charge for 0.5 tonne.

Since the place where i am sending the material doesn't belong to my own entity/premise, legaly i cant create a new plant and use STO.

Requirement is to have inventory deducted from my plant upon transfer to govt, so i cant use sub contracting in MM also. Because in case of Sub Contracting the material will be valuated at my plant only.

Your help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

Thanks & Regards,

Mihir

Hi,

Use consignment Fill Up and Pick Up to manage stock at Govt site and use consignment issue to charge for less material received, You may also make a different doc type for this process with normal sales and normal return process, you can just name them seperately but the issue is since you need valuation at your plant so consignment is the only option.

You can view stock at govt site using MB58 report.

Hi

Please check the Consignment process in SD.

In this case the stock will reduce from Unrestricted Area and will be blocked as Special Stock for that particular Customer, but remain under the ownership of your Company. Physically you can move to material at the location of Customer. And at the end you can bill for the quantity which is not returned to you.

To know more about this search the Forum.
