Hello,
Assuming that this is regarding BPC embedded, what you need to do to enable time dependent hierarchy TDH is to define it that way. When using either RSA1 or RSD1 you can find the property for time dependent hierarchy under Hierarchy tab.
For how to use it further, I use BPC web client for defining new versions of TDH. By that I mean create a new hierarchy which is valid for a specific period. Once a new version is defined, you do not have to do anything further. The valid hierarchy will be used for all processes during the validity period.
I have attached a screen print of an entity characteristics in my test system that shows where to find the time-dependent hierarchy

Hello,
I have not used TDH in AO, used it testing work status. However, I found this topic in the online help for Analysis Plug-in User Guide. According to online help, you can work with TDH, in AO using 'Advanced Options'
