FIAA conversion during FISCAL YEAR

Hi Gurus,

I am in FIAA conversin and I have prepared steps for conversion.

The fiscal year for the clinet is April to March31st 2010 and the the GOLIVE is Nove 1st 2010. The FIAA conversion will be during the fiscal year.

Steps

1. set the compnay code to status 2

2. specify the depreciation areas as required

3. Do I specify the trasnfer date/last closed fiscal year I am not sure

4. Specify last period closed in the previous systems in this case it will be fiscal year 21010 and the period is 06 correct?

5. Data transfer of the fixed assets t code AS91 in this upload file I take the APC as of October 31st 2010 and the accumulated depreciation asof October 31at 2010 correct?

6. Use t code OAMK to reset the reconcilaition indicator to post the fixed assets balances in FI GL and post the balances correct? The balances will be as of October 31at 2010? correct?

7. Run the FIAA reports by asset numbers and by Asset Class for the reconcilaition purposes

8. Pass the journal entry running t code OASV as per the reports runin the step 7.

8. run t code ABST2 for reconciiliation between the GL fixed asses balaances and the fixed assets load done. There should be no difference.

9. If there is a difference instpe 8 then pass a journal entry t code OASV for the differences.

10. Pass the journal entries to effect the P&L account depreciation, sale of assets, retirements on a monthly basis in this case for the periods 1 to 6. I need to know the journal entries show an exapmle for each case.

11.How is the retirements shown?

12. Run the reports to reconcile the depreaiton, loss or sale of assets or write off accounts in the GL and do the manul renciliation of the balnces.

13.Once the reconciliation is OK ie.e the balances tally then reset the reconciliation indicator for the fixed assets accounts in the GL run the code OAMK

Please give me your guidliens for handling some of the errors, reports, and the impoirtant tables in FIAA

Thanks
