I've tried installing Data Services Designer 12.2 on Vista Home Edition. After installing, when I try to start Designer, I get two error dialogs stating that an OCX is not registered. The file path referenced in the error dialog indicates it is looking in "C:\program Files\Business Objects......\bin", but the installation was actually placed in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects..." We also tried reinstalling and forcing it to go into C:\Program Files\..., but it still installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\... So, it appears is that when the OCX is registered it isn't able to handle the fact that Vista is a little different and has the two "Program Files" folders.
I'm trying to determine if this a "Vista In-General" problem or a "Vista Home Edition" problem?
Any help?
