How do I install the Crystal Server 2016 SP5 trial?

Hi,

I contacted SAP a few days ago and they sent me a Crystal Server 2016 SP5 trial via email. In that email there was a 2 parts setup installer for windows under two separate URLs. I downloaded both parts. Now, following the instructions, I executed part 1 on my server and started installing Crystal Server. When the install is almost complete, I get prompted to find the installer and the name of the file it's looking for ends with SP6. The files that I have end with SP5. I am unable to see my files as it is looking only for that specific file ending in SP6. I have tried renaming my files to SP6 but when I select them my install crashes. It seems to me like I was sent the wrong files and I should have instead received SP6 files or the SP5 installers are just broken. Can someone help me please? I responded to the technician from SAP who sent me the files to tell her about this issue but I was told to ask my questions on this website under this section for help. It's a little bizarre.

Hi Don,

I contacted Sales as you asked and they suggested that I download the files from SAP's website directly under https://www.crystalreports.com/versions/. I got the Part 1 and Part 2 and I got the exact same behavior where I start the Part 1 .exe file and then near the end the 'Next volume is required' notification pops up where I need to browse for the SP7 file in order to finish the extraction. Both parts that I downloaded are SP6 so I don't have the SP7 part in order to finish the installation. So where do I go from here?

It's actually in the instructions that it says to install SP5... that's why I mixed up the numbers in my original comment...

Ok, I might have had the numbers wrong. I downloaded the files again today and it's actually SP6 looking for SP7. Same issue, just different numbers. Here are the two files provided through download URLs (only the last portion):

Part 1 (windows)

Part 2 (windows)

51053193_part2_Crystal_Server_2016_SP6_WIN_.rar

Just to re-state the symptoms, I execute Part 1 exe file from the server as a local administrator and it runs up to about 95% completion and then it asks me to browse for SP7 file (and I cannot change the name of the file that it's looking for) to finish the installation which I cannot do.

Hi Stephanie,

Confirm with Sales they did send you the correct links.

Don't paste in the whole link, just the numbers on the end and I'll see what they relate to.
