MRP Type V1 and Special Stock E

Former Member

I've created material 010119000109 with

MRP type: V1

Reorder point: 10

Lot size: HB

Maximum stock level: 20

Availability check: 01

Un. use Stock=0

If I run the MRP (MD03) the system correctly creates a Purchase Requisition of 20pieces.

The MRP list shows me the unrestricted use stock which is zero

and the purchase requisition of 20pieces

1.Now I create a Sales Order of 25 pieces.

The sales order 3001300068 has an item category (ZTAN) which requires special stock E.

I run the MRP again.

The MRP list shows me:

-unrestricted use stock 0

-purchase requisition of 20 pieces

-the special stock for sales order 3001300068, which is zero

-the customer order requirement of 25pieces

QUESTION 1. Is it possible that the MRP type V1 considers also the special stock E requirements?

I cancel sales order 3001300068

2. Now I create a Sales Order of 25 pieces.

The sales order 3001300069 has an item category (TAN) which requires unrestricted use stock.

I run the MRP again.

The MRP list shows me:

-unrestricted use stock which is zero

-customer order 3001300069 requirement of 25 pieces

-purchase requisition of 35pieces

the calculation is exactly what I want.

Now I convert the Purchase requisition in Purchase Order and post the Goods Receipt.

Now I have enough unrestricted use stock

QUESTION 2. I've tried to create the delivery, the picking, the handling unit, but the material is still in unrestricted use stock

which means anybody can take it and use it for another sales order or consume it.

Is there a way to book 25pieces for my sales order (without posting the good issue)?

Hi,

Which Planning Strategy you are using for that material?

MRP type will define only How material will be planned. Strategy only defines what are the requirements will be consider for that material. Planning strategy is combination of Requirment type and Requirment Class.Choose correct strategy inwhich requirment class also consider spl stock 'E'(OVZG).

Pls made the settings in SD - IMG customization 'Assignment of Requirement type to Transaction for the following combination

1. Item category

2. MRP type

3. Requirment Type

4. Origin of requirement type in requirement type determination

Thanks for your answer.

Was it an answer to question 1 or question 2?

Can you please specify the path in customizing Assignment of Requirement type to Transaction?

Hi

For your question -1 ,If you want your MRP type and Planning strategy also consider spl stock 'E' , then you must do following IMG settings in SD module. It is under transfer of requirment.

SD - IMG customization 'Assignment of Requirement type to Transaction for the following combination

1. Item category

2. MRP type

3. Requirment Type

4. Origin of requirement type in requirement type determination

Alexmor,

QUESTION 1. Is it possible that the MRP type V1 considers also the special stock E requirements?

V1 uses reorder point planning. Special stock (E) is not recognized. If you wish to plan special stock, you should use one of the Demand planning types (PD, M*, etc).

QUESTION 2. I've tried to create the delivery, the picking, the handling unit, but the material is still in unrestricted use stock

which means anybody can take it and use it for another sales order or consume it.

Is there a way to book 25 pieces for my sales order (without posting the good issue)?

In an unrestricted stock environment, the ATP check is responsible for preventing new requirements from 'stealing' your unrestricted stock. If that protection is inadequate, you can move your materials into a location that is unavailable to other orders' ATP checks, or you can change the materials' statuses to one that is unavailable for other ATPs (e.g., "Blocked Stock").
