Dear Sirs,

I'm preparing Linux Suse11 and Oracle 10g for Enterprise Portal Installation.

According the SAP Note 1172419 -Linux: supported Java version on x86 64

platform, I have to download and install

-java-1_4_2-ibm-1.4.2_sr13-0.4.x86_64.rpm

-java-1_4_2-ibm-devel-1.4.2_sr13-0.4.x86_64.rpm for Suse Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP2

or

java-1_4_2-ibm-1.4.2_sr13.2-0.1.1.x86_64.rpm for Suse Linux Enterprise Server 11

In the page http://download.novell.com/Download?buildid=dnT8FTHlxkU~

or http://download.novell.com/Download?buildid=L9qg42QI1dQ~

when I do proceed download and fill the username and password the page

return an error: You do not have the correct privileges to download the

file.

I created and activated my username.

Please can you help me in how to download this files?

As far as I'm aware 11 is not yet supported by SAP, see Note 171356 - SAP software on Linux: Essential information and service.sap.com/pam

Also, the IBM JRE/JDK can be downloaded and installed directly in YaST if you are using SLES10 and 11(when it is supported). Just do a software search for "Java" in YaST, select and install.

To download those files you have to have a maintenance contract connected to your Novell username.

You can try to download it from IBM directly:

Ernesto,

Your setup will not be supported by SAP, because

1) SLES11 is not yet support (but it will in the future, so this is not so critical)

2) Only the IBM JDK delivered through Novell YOU channels is supported ... for the IBM one you need an extra contract

without this contract, any JDK issues cannot be solved because of missing support ...
