Hello All,

I am trying to Create Agentry Branding for my current Client, I am facing issue while installation, as I need to have same application installed with multiple URLs, I am trying to make it possible but after installation on Windows CE devices, once reboot the device all application get removed and only one Shortcut is available on Desktop screen.

Do you know where I am failing to create multiple applications?

I have changes wc.inf file in Branding/Cabs/Client folder, even created new files all possible way.

Regards,

Swapnil

Hello Mark,

That is helpful inputs by you.

As our client requirement is to have Windows CE devices (Already they have more than 300 in placed order). I have raised concern with SAP through OSS and they are given SAP NOTE, same solution to copy Installed Agentry folder and create the shortcuts in Widnsow--> Start Menu-> Shortcuts. But this again getting wiped out or sometime Shortcut Renamed automatically to Agentry Client(1). Not sure about this weird behavior of Windows CE Device.

Can you provide me some more inputs or workaround on this?

Swapnil,

Please kindly review supportability for WinCE mobile devices by Windows as well.

With respect to your question, you have the following:

Step 1: Install Agentry client into Mobile Device 1.

Step 2: Install another Agentry client into Mobile Device 1.

- Your goal was to make step 1 point to a different URL than step 2.

- The issue is that on restart the main Agentry Icon resets and only 1 remains.

Suggestion: Please review Windows Mobile CE creation of Shortcuts. This may entail creating a custom shortcut to point to said installed Agentry client. Creation of custom shortcut in Windows Mobile CE is a manual process versus relying on the Agentry client install to do it for you. By restarting the Windows Mobile CE OS and if the manual creation of the Shortcut was not done, then you are relying on registers to do the work and due to only 1 mobile client is normally allowed in the system then this explains why you are getting only 1 short cut left.

The key is to know how to do Windows Mobile CE short cut creation (i.e. may create custom folders with your icon).

This is our suggestion. Please study the supportability of Agentry Windows CE client as that is dated and please note that Microsoft themselves dropped support for it which makes all other third party vendors (including SAP) to do the necessary.

Regards,

Mark
