Best regards,

Hi Anne,
The pop-up is controlled by switch PPVAC PPVAC in table T77S0.

HI,
SM30,
T77S0, Maintain
PPVAC VACWF Vacancy workflow on = X, Vacancy dialog box = ' '( Activate this switch .. Maintain X)
POP Up Is controlled By this switch Only.
If you have set this switch to 'X', the system will not generate a dialog box prompting you to create a vacancy when you change the assignment percentage of a position - for example, in organizational plan maintenance.

HI,
If your requirements are not met by Vacancy switch in table T77S0 you have to use Function module.
If you are using BDC that is not the best option as it may fail or mal function , SAP has given standard Function module for the same.

Sorry that marking the switch as X cannot fulfill our requirement as we need this vacancy dialogue for the normal hiring procedure, just this dialogue not prompt automatically in some of the BDC programs causing us troubles.
May anyone suggest a SAP standard function to me so that I could update vacancy status of the position (IT1007) from "open" to "occupied"? Million thanks!
