Benefit help for IT0021 Dependent Student Status

Hello,

What is the appropriate way to handle IT0021 when a dependent (child) is no longer a student? I have all US benefits configured and working properly - third year now. Our benefit department decided to delimit all dependents that are no longer students. Now, in HRBEN0003 (Participation Monitor) and HRBEN0001(Enrollment), I get errors on any employee that ever covered one of these delimited dependents (in the previous 2 years) only on dental and vision, no medical plans are giving this error.

These dependents were delimited last year, and the students were not selected as dependents within the medical, dental, or vision plans for 2009.

First, I would like to know the best business practice for handling IT0021 when a dependent is no longer a student.

Second, how can I fix these hard errors from the participation monitor?

The error received states "DIAGNOSIS: The system tried to evaluate information about a related person by reading the Family/Related person infotype (0021). However, no record could be found with subtype 2 and object number 01. A record with these keys was delimited or deleted after the related person was assigned to the benefit plan. SYSTEM RESPONSE: The system removes the related person from the list of dependents. PROCEDURE: If an It0021 record should exist with subtype 2 and object number 01, create a new record. If it is correct that no record should exist, run the Participation Monitor for the employee in order to detect any inconsistent enrollment of dependents. Withdraw any inconsistent dependents and benefiticiaries from the relevant plans."

Thank you for helping me find my sanity.
