Hi Team,

I am getting underneath error when I am using Connection Test for ECC System.

Test Connection with Connector

Test Details:

The test consists of the following steps:

1. Retrieve the default alias of the system

2. Check the connection to the backend application using the connector defined in this system object

Results

Retrieval of default alias successful

Connection failed. Make sure that Single Sign-On is configured correctly

What all need to check to make it work properly

Dear Punit

Are you sure that you make the following configuration steps?

1. There are fully qualified domain names in the system landscape definition and when accessing the portal.

2. certificate is not expired.

3. Profile parameters are OK for create and accept;

4. Uploaded the certificate to the backend system (STRUSTSSO2)

Regards.

Hi Punit,

Here is the [SSO Check List on WIKI|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/EP/SSO%2bChecklist]

Make sure you followed the checklist for SSO.

You ma find this [SSO Article|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e676ec90-0201-0010-cfa3-90b7c1291903] handy.

Cheers!!!

Hi Punit,

There are 2 ways of maintaining SSO between Source and destination systems

1) In Portal for the user you are testing SSO,go to user administration role and select the user, go to user mapping for system access, select the system alias you created in system admin and enter any backend sysetm user id and password.

Now try to access the backlend system from portal so that you will be able to login through SSO.

2) For the configuration of SSO between 2 systems folow this blog

This is considering that you have created the system in the right way.

In connection property see what option have you put for user, you will see something like this

admin/user user ticket

select admin/user

The user, by which you have signed in to your portal must have sso configured to test the ecc system created.

go to User admin -> select or user -> and do the usermapping

this will establish the sso with backend, if you have a certificate/ticket based sso done then ensure that you select ticket in the system and that portal userid which you signed in with exist in backend.

hope this helps !
