Border (Box) for repetitive area in PLD

Hi all,

I guess many of u would have already faced this problem. The problem is that I have a repetitive area with header and details. I have used borders for them and If there is one Item then i am getting a very small box, which dosent look good, if there are 4-6 Items then the Box (Border) is coming and its looking gud.. Now if i want to maintain that box with that fixed length i can add some big text boxes with borders so that the box will be coming but the problem is that if that box is added then if there are 8 items then that box will be coming in the next page which will not look gud.

Hope my question is clear...

Thanks in advance,

Vasu Natari.

Hi Vasu Natari,

Your issue is clear. The problem is: PLD template is acting like a web page. There is no way to maintain it as a word document. There is no WYSIWYG available. You may need to try and error to make it as close as what you are looking for. In my opinion, the better choices might be get rig of all borders altogether to avoid such issue.

You may try to fix the row heights by selecting a fixed pixel for height and uncheck the Field/Area Height Adjustment to see the result if you have to keep the border.

Thanks,

Gordon

You can make the Repetitive area a fixed height on the General tab, and untick the "Area Height Adjustment" box on the format tab. This should fix it at a specific height regardless of rows.
