Material - Monitor the quantity but not the value

I have a requirement where the user want to monitor the inventory quantity but not the inventory value.

Once the stock is GR, the value of the stock should charge to the cost center but the quantity will be stay in the inventory until user issue it.

What should be the right material type that can match this requirement?

Hi Alex,

You can consider using material type UNBW. In standard SAP configuration, this material type allows tracking of stock quantity while the inventory value is zero. In your example, GR against PO will result the expense account (based on PO account assignment info) to be updated, and stock quantity updated by GR quantity; inventory value will be zero.
