Muchas gracias.

Saludos,

Juan.

My latest online translator: [http://www.frengly.com/|http://www.frengly.com/]

And here's the translation:

Hello everyone. Please wanted to know if anyone knows of any function or way to run an ALV report in background and drop to an Excel directly. Thank you. Regards, John.

Translates the name as well. Mind blowing !!!

Cheers,

Suhas

I doubt you'll be able to do it the easier way. First, because ALV is a GUI thing, and although you can call it in batch (through the REUSE* FM, not through objects, I guess), you cannot download files in background through GUI functions.

Almost with my knowledge.

BUT (there is ever a but) you have your data into an internal table (if not, you should not fill the ALV). Why don't download it through the usual DATASET way? Just name the file *.XLS and Excel will kindly open it (maybe with a nasty warning message, but it will open it anyways).

If you need to download it into a determined computer, and not any SAP's directories, you'll have to find more imaginative ways

I wish it helps,

Vic

Vic
