Upload data directly to SQL database

Hi all,

It is possible to upload transactional data from one database to the BPC SQL database without doing that using a text file?

We have the transactional data in one database (Oracle) and we would like to upload that directly on the SQL database that BPC is using.

Hi Ana,

Yes, it is possible.

There is a DTSX file in the examples folder which imports data from Access (Import Access2007 into Fact Table.dtsx or Import Access into Fact Table.dtsx). It creates a connection between SQL and Access. The same logic can be used and modified to create a connection between SQL and Oracle.

The above mentioned package can be used as the starting point.
