production order quantity should not be greater than planned order quantity

Dear Gurus

Suppose I have got a sales order of 100 pcs. I ran MRP and planned order of 100 is generated.Now my client is saying that while converting this planned order to production order the system should allow him to enter a quantity less than 100 but the system should not allow him to enter more than 100.That means they dont want to produce more

Hi Sandeep,

Do Production order with same quantity and while dooing GR enter more quantity than 100

For that you need to mentain under delivery tolerance and Over delivery tolerance in Work scheduling view of material master

of finish goods

Thank you for responding . What you said applies for posting of goods in mb31 . But my client is asking that the end user should not be allowed to enter any quantity more than that proposed by system in co40 or in co48 he can enter less. Please respond

You Can control with the help of Enhancement : PPCO0007 (Exit when saving production order)

Functional Module : EXIT_SAPLCOZV_001

Include : ZXCO1U06

Compare the Order header Qty with the sales order Qty If the production order header qty is more do not allow the system to save the production order..
