Settings required for Materail to procure as a excise material

Hi ,

I want to know what are the different settings required in material master and in J1ID for a new material which we have created and we want to purchase this material as a excisable item from vendor also how the excise duty rate is assign to material is this ref. to Chapter ID or Tax code,

Hi

Following setiings are required for any material to qualify as Excisable material

1) In J1ID Maintain material chapter ID combination

2) Maintain the material assesable value

3) Maintain Input Vs Output material in Cenvat determination

If you are using TAXINN then duties will flow from condition record maintained in FV11 .Here you can define your access sequence based on Tax code or Material/Chaptery ID or Material /Plant/Chapter ID wise.
