Hi,
When you use a Result Analysis (RA) key you have to perform the RA to determine the accrued values. These accrued values are the source for settlement (and will be stored in table COSB). In table COSB you can find different categories (field ABKAT with (e.g. WIP, COGS, REV...) The source for settlement is table COSB (in case of RA) or COSS / COSP (without RA).

Hi,
These accrued values (or, in the case of objects without a results analysis key, these actual values) are then settled to CO-PA and FI. During the settlement process, the costs of sales and the profitability-related revenues are transferred to CO-PA and the work in process and reserves for unrealized costs are transferred to FI.

Waman
In costing based approach, there will not be any WIP accouting flow from FI to COPA.

Hi
Costing based CO-PA is based on cost-of-sales method of accounting.
This method emphasizes on matching the revenues for goods and/or services provided (the value that a company gains as a result of sales) against the related expenses for those items (the value that is lost when products are transferred out of the company).
No question of WIP.
Hope this help!
