Problems after install - IOMS does not work (2 server setup)

52 Views

Hi,

We've initially setup 1 test environment test with both full BO XI 3.1 and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. IOMS worked well, did not encounter below issues.

We have problems after installing the Integration Option for Microsoft SharePoint in following setup:

- Server1: complete BO XI 3.1 installation (no fix packs)

- Server2:

  • Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007

  • BO components:

$ BO XI 3.1 Web Tier

$ Integration Option for Microsoft SharePoint

Installation of both BO components was successfull.

- BO Web tier: we tried both

  • Only installing BI Platform .NET Web Component Adapters

  • full web tier install (all 4 options)

- BO IOMS: options selected during install

  • All Sharepoint Virtual Servers

  • Win AD auth

  • Document web part: we tried both

$ using .NET infoview

$ using java infoview

After install

- first observation: after install of IOMS, [http://localhost] gives following error: "Data at the root level is invalid. Line 1, position 1." (see detail below). Before the IOMS install it just navigated to a sharepoint website.

- 2nd observation: after working through the first issue, we were able to navigate to [http://localhost/Pages/Default.aspx]. However, when wanting to add a web part ( click add web part ), we got message: "File Not Found. at System.Reflection.Assembly._nLoad(AssemblyName fileName,..." (detail see below)

In install guide we find a note: "The installation of the Integration option for Microsoft SharePoint software on .NET BOE SDK completes successfully. However, the application may not work as expected." This sounds like it matches with the above. Does it match with our description? What can be done?

We checked the release notes for known issues. Closes we found: "Extended Integration Option for Microsoft SharePoint software Web Application Fails to Work as Expected". What is Extended Integration Option for Microsoft SharePoint?

Thanks for feedback!
