Hi co experts,
As per our knowledge the Difference between Assessments and distribution is distribution allocates primary cost elements and an assessment allocates both primary and secondary coat elements.
My doubt is, Apart from the above sentence is there any other difference between assessments and distribution.

hai i think there is some differencess between assessment and distribution
1) sender- any cost centere for assessment and distribution
2)receiver- any co object in assessment and distributin
3) IDENTIFICATION OF SENDER COST ELEMENT-in assessment sender primany cost element cannot be identified in receiver/ in distribution we can identify the primary cost element
4)allocation of cost element- in assessment both primay and seconday//in distribution only primary cost element
5)creation of secondary cost element in assessment it is compulsory in distribution not compulsory to created secondary cost element

Hi
The difference between the both is through Assessment we can transfer both primary as well as secondary costs wheres in distribution only primary costs are allowed.
the other diff is in assessment the costs get transferred by an Assessment cost element ( category 43). so on the receiver side you see the allocated amounts by this cost element and not the original cost element.
whereas in distribution only Cost elements will be used.

Hi,
I just want to make one correction from Dublin statement for cost element category. Actually the concept he explained is correct.
@ Distribution: The data use are for primary cost element only, and the cost are record on receiver side using original
cost element.
@ Assessment: We can use either Primary cost Element or Secondary cost Element. The cost recorded on receiver side is
using Assessment Cost Element (Cost element category 42) not the cat 43, the cat 43 is for cost allocation.
Hope this help you.
Regards,
Iie
