Release strategy not triggered in PR

Dear All,

There is a PR raised and release stragegy was assigned to it.Now when a new item is added the exising strategy is detached by the system though all release conditions are satisfied.Please suggest on this

The PR release strategy is line item specific , you will have different release strategy for different line items based on the Values you have maintained also the values maintained for the line item of PR..

If you won't get release strategy for line item means the Line Item values are not matching to trigger any Release strategy

We identified that when line item is added on different date than PR creation date, system is not picking the release strategy.Cause may be different though

Release indicator is (4) changeble, new release incase of new strategy, or value change.

This issue is relevant to this particular PR only

Dear Santosh,

As you said, Release indicator is (4) changeble, new release incase of new strategy, or value change.

Then when you add another line item, the value is increase , thus the release strategy getting reset.

If you don't want the release strategy getting reset, you may change the indicator other than 4. Maybe

you can use 3.

1 Cannot be changed

2 Changeable, no new determination of strategy

3 Changeable, new release in case of new strategy

Check the Changeability Indicator against your Release indicator in Config

Hi Manohar,

The release strategy here is at header level.The updated value with new line item addition is still within the range of release condition but i wonder why the existing release hierarchy delinked.

Can u give more details about the characteristics you are using for the release strategy in PR.

Just confirm whether it is happening for all PR or in particular cases.
