Problem with ALV filtering

Hi All,

I have an ALV with one column having Dropdown by Index as UI editor. The Dropdown by index contains key and value pair and I show only the value not the key. Now when the user tries to filter in the column, he can't do it. I know in Dropdown by key it works well.

Kindly suggest some solution fo it.

Hi Ari,

Is the ALV editable? Does user can choose from Dropdownbyindex element?

If not, better replace with a Text view.

If this is not the case, use a new description column with Text view as Editor. Users can filter on this.
