Hom. sys copy query

We want to perform a hom. sys copy for our NW7.0 java systems (all systems are single stack)

We are referring the hom. sys copy guide but we need to know whether we should use the

Database-Specific System Copy or Database Independent System Copy procedure?

Our OS/DB are as under:

System 1 - Unix/Oracle

System 2 - Windows/Oracle

HI, If the OS of the target system is different to the source then a Heterogeneous System Copy is required

For a heterogeneous system copy, only the database-independent method is available

Hi Patrick,

Our question is pertaining to homogeneous system copy.

We already have the relevant guides and we know that both methods (db-ind and db-dep) will work.

We just want to know which one would be the preferred method.
