Hi Experts,

Is the note 1224808 for all releases (versions) or just for version (cluster) A ? I asked so, because in SBO mailist forum, someone asked about the missing of profit period section in P&L statement of 2007B version - localization SG.

Pls advice

John

Hi,

I don't think by default it will be available, you have to create it in the Financial report template-Profit and Loss Statement.

Add a same level account of revenue/expenditure and use subtotal formula for profit period calculation

Thx a lot for explanation. I do not know it is a mistaken or not. SAP seems don't care about the profit period for SG localization.

Could you pls elaborate more detail about the subtotal formula ? pls provide the stepwise.

Hi,

Go to Financials-Financial report template

Select Report-Profit and Loss

In the template define new-P & L

Choose Generate standard chart of accounts

Select Revenue, then click on Add sibling

In the Account Name field,type-Profit Period

Select the check box subtotal,a formula button will appear

Click on the Formula,

Choose Revenue

Choose +(if the credit balance is not maintained in -ve sign, choose - )

Choose Expenditure

Update formula

Update template

Run the P and L report using this new template, you will obtain profit period

Thx for answer.

Our colleague said that in SG localization of release B, there is no profit period section in its P&L statement. Could you pls tell why it is not available there ? That's why I ask the note purpose. Sometimes note can give wrong information.
