Is Crystal Reports XI R2 (11.5.11.470) compatible with Sql Server 2008

Currently we are running Crystal 8.5 with sql server 2000.

Planning to upgrade to Crystal XI R2 and SQL Server 2008 database.

Is there a compatibility matrix that I can look at. I looked around without much luck.

Thanks for your input.

With the OLE connection to Crystal Reports XI R2 SP6 and SQL 2008, when in report design, and selecting a view, clicking on the +, the fields in the view do not display.

Hello,

Look for the Platforms.pdf, you can find it by clicking on the BusinessObjects tab above and then documents, CR version....

Only issue we have right now are when using OLE DB driver, data parameter syntax is wrong but we are fixing it and should be resolved in SP3 due out in a month or so.

As long as you use ODBC all your reports should work. But because you are upgrading 10 years worth of development there may be issues. Best is to download the trial version and start verifying all your reports and fix them as a required.

Thank you

Thanks a lot for your input Don.

I did click on Business Objects Tab above but did not see "documents" link.

I could not locate "Platforms.pdf".

Can you please let me know where I can find the link to this pdf.

Oops.. Click on the "Articles" link on the left.

Here's the direct link to SP2 - http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/index?rid=/library/uuid/00225757-ab5c-2c10-c1a8-fb9f9f0f4ac2

Thanks a lot Don.

The doc mentions "Crystal Reports 2008 with Service Paxk 2". Is this same as "Crystal Reports XI Release 2"?

Go to: http://service.sap.com/sap/bc/bsp/spn/bobj_download/main.htm

And select Crystal Reports, Version and leave the last option blank. You'll find everything there that is available for downloading.

SP5 is available for CR XI R2.

Thanks again
