BSEG-SGTXT grayed in FB02

Hello SDNers,

After upgrading to ECC6 version, we realize that we can't modify field BSEG-SGTXT by transaction FB02 (the field is grayed).

I have checked the following points:

1) Posting Key

2) Field Status

3) Table TBAER

4) FI-SL

and all of them are correct.

Anyone know what could be happening?

Hi. Is the document cleared?

I think you can only edit the text on docs that are not cleared.

I think this is either a problem for OSS, or for functional analysts or a user understanding issue. Not an ABAP problem.

In my memories, there were OSS notes on SGTXT in FB02, basically the field cannot be changed if the document is not generated by FI, e.g.: MM (material movement) or SD (customer invoice) and that caused some problem on CO control and FI-AA Assets documents. Check if there are notes applicable to your system for FB02.
