Dear All,

We have a requirement with asset depreciation...

Client needs the depreciation to be calculated for the 6 months to be 17.5% and next 6 months to be 35%.

Current year 2009

Additions for this year (Plant-Asset Class)

First 183 days - Depreciation should calculate 17.5%

Second 182 days - Depreciation should calculate 35%

How this can be achived

Hi,

use a multi-level method with 2 levels. First one valid 6 months, using stated percentage rate 17,5%. Second level using stated percentage rate 35%.

Markus

Dear Markus,

Thanks. I have created the multi-level method with 2 levels they are as follows...

Acq year Year Period Base value Percentage

9999 999 6 24 35%

9999 999 12 24 17.5%

But still it is taking only the 35% if i aquire the asset in 1.10.2009

Hi,

Your settings are incorrect in the method.

It should be

Acq year Year Period Base value Percentage

9999 0 6 24 35% < First 6 months

9999 1 0 24 17.5% < Next 6 months

9999 999 0 24 XX% < Remainder.

Kind regards
