Payroll Control Record - Earliest Retro Acctg Period

Hi,

The "Earliest Retro Acctg period" in control record is grayed out all the time except while payroll status is in "Exit" mode.

Inorder to make changes to "Earliest Retro Acctg period" while payroll status is still in Released for payroll or Released for correction what should be the procedure????

Previously before upgrade to ECC 6.0 , the user was able to make changes irrespective of payroll status...not sure how the field is set open for input??? all the time....

Please advice if there are any settings to changed to make it to input mode irrespective of payroll status.

Note: DELETE and CREATE the control record is one option, as user make frequent changes to "Earliest Retro Acctg period" it becomes difficult to delete and re-create all the time for multiple payroll areas and also dont know whether it is a good practice..

Please advice what is the best way.....is there any config change to be made to keep the field set to input mode all the time????

Pls take care with control records, do not touch the earliest retro date manually, try to use report for all of your selections like payroll areas whenever you need to change it.

Run this report (RPUTRBK0) for your selections and keep the control record safe.
