How to pop up comment

Hi All,

Can you please guide me on how can I pop up the comment in EVDRE Report / Input Schedule.

Needed clarification on:

1. While sending the comment through EvDRE, whether I need to use EVCOM or I need to use BPC Tasks -> Add a new Comment option? (Which gives the option for comment using BPC web)

2. While retrieving the comment through EvDRE report, how comment will pop up? Do I need to use EvCOM again to retrieve the comment? If so, how will comment pop up in that case?

here r some anwers:

BPC for Excel provides u with 2 options. U can choose whether u want to sent it via evcom or action pane task.

2. While retrieving the comment through EvDRE report, how comment will pop up? Do I need to use EvCOM again to retrieve the comment? If so, how will comment pop up in that case?

Comment will pop up as usual Excel comment. U can use different BPC comment functions to retrieve comment (EVCOM, EVCGT, EVCGP). Last 2 functions can only get comment info, the 1-st one can also send comments to the database.

To make comment pop up in Excel sheet u need to set this In the E-tools - Workbook options. In the middle left there is an option called "Read Options for Comment". There you can select "Within Cell" which allows you to view a comment retrieved with the EVCOM function in a specific cell selected in the function. The other option is "As Excel Popup" which does what you want, and saw in the demo.

EVCOM is the function for send and retrieve comments.

It is like all other functions from BPC (EVDRE, EVSND) can be used for both actions.
