Hi All,

I have scenario CRM>PI>MDM

MDM server applied the new patch SP3 but server patch SP2 in MDM we successful posted the messages to MDM system.

After SP3 we got error like below

MDM Adapter listener could not start due to: Can not create repository session '<server=server User=Admin repository=HCLI_P02_CUSTOMER_SAP user=PI>' caused by: Connection Failed: Cannot create connection to MDM Server '10.00.000.00' for one of the following reasons: (1) server does not exist, (2) server is not started, or (3) input/output problem while creating connection, error code: UnknownServer

11/25/09 12:18:01 PM ded98e73-4d84-78f1-9286-00155d010c00 Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: com.sap.aii.af.lib.ra.cci.XIAdapterException: System error: MDM port not found .

Can you please let you know if i need any changes required in PI server.

Regards,

Ramesh

Usually a SP for MDM also means a API patch for PI. Check if it has been deployed and is reflected in NWA. The next step is that the JAVA stack of PI will need to be restarted once applied. Since it is unable to connect to the repository a quick check on the MDM side to trigger a message for syndication or consolidation (depending on how the channel is configured) can lead to more clarity if the problem is on MDM or PI side

Thanks for your inputs!

After redeployed the MDM JAVA API SCA file SP3 though JSPM in PI server. MDM Adapter listener started and message processed successfully to MDM.

The problem could in MDM server. Any service could have been stopped/failed.

1. Restart the MDM Java API connector

2. Restart the MDM Adapter in PI.

Hi,

I dont think you required to do any chnages in PI Side, you already deployed required drivers ,When you update service pack no need to deploy any additional drivers as per my understanding.

I think chek the details server and admin details hav entries or not because when you apply new sp there is chance to erase.

Hi Ramesh,

the problem because of MDM Server,i think configurations from PI side perfect.

The error it self saying it unable to connect to server because of some problem from MDM Side.

check with MDM people.

Raj
