Savs as and Print options to be restricted in SAP DMS

Hi All,

How can we restrict SAVE AS and PRINT options in SAP EASY DMS for Documents placed in Content Repository.

Do we any option in authorisations in SAP???

Hi,

To restrict print from easydms, you must implement Z_EASYDMS_PRINT and return PRINT_METHOD with 'ERROR', check note: 687957 & 1368109 for more information.

For save as, kindly mention what is the exact requirement?

Regarding SAVE AS option in SAP Easy dms ,the actual requirement is ,the user should not be able to save any copies of the original documents.He should have only read access.

Hi Sandhya,

From easydms, once you open an original for view or edit, easydms does not have control over the application in which the original is opened. So user can preform save-as on the file.

The original can be opened in readonly if user has limited acl activity like: Write

Check if ECL viewer is of some help...
