Not able to create asset under AS01

Hello Sap experts,

Our client is facing an issue when the user is creating asset under t.code AS01 that u2018you can use asset class 34100 for capital investment measures onlyu2019

When we checked asset class 34100, there was tick mark on radio button u2018Investment Measureu2019 & we remove it & tick on radio button u2018No AUC or summary management of AUCu2019 & save it & the error remove

We have provided this solution to user but we are not sure that in future this change will not create any problem to the user

Even we also checked that if we tick on radio button u2018Line item Settlementu2019 instead of u2018No AUC or summary management of AUCu2019 then also that error was not coming

We please suggest which is the correct solution of this issue.

Hi,

Asset class can be defined with the below 3 options.

1) No AuC or summary management of AuC

This option needs to be selected for normal kind of assets only.

2)Line item settlement

This option needs to be used for Asset Under Construction only. ( Without Internal Order or WBS elemant)

3) Investment Measure

Specifies that the assets under construction in this asset class can be created solely in relation to capital investment measures (internal orders or WBS elements).

There will not be any impact on changing this option, only in the case of there were no assets created under that asset class.

Thanks a lot for your valuable reply. It solve my doubt

Now the requirement of business user is that they want to use asset class 34100 in old way means for AUC through AS01

& want that all those AUC whcih has already been created under asset class 34100 should be transfreerd to any other asset class having feature of investment measure

So now please suggest me on following points:-

1) how to find AUC created under asset class 34100 through internal order, t.code KO01

2) whether these AUC can be transfered to any other asset class if that asset class is having funcality of investment measure & is there any impact of such transfer

3) whether we can change asset class 34100 to create AUC (by clicking on line item settlement instead of investment measure)

Please suggest

hi,

when asset class is ticked for investment measure , the asset is created by the transaction run in ps or pm module . If you remove the tick then while creating asset for these module system will throw error.
