Locked documents in collaboration

I'm trying to organize contents in a C-room, and I cannot move folders because of locked documents. Some of these documents are locked by users who are no longer with the company, so I cannot go back to these users and ask them to check in the documents.

As an admin, is there a way for me to unlock a locked document in a collaboration room? Or delete a locked document?

Hi,

There are two ways to unlock such documents:

- with the resource lock report - http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/14/a4d14030490b06e10000000a155106/frameset.htm

- as a system principal with unlock permission, see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/19/56f28fbd4e11d5993b00508b6b8b11/frameset.htm

Hi Detlev,

I tried your suggestion but i'm not having any luck. The report does not show any locked objects and after specifying a super admin role as the principal, I'm stil not able to unlock/delete the locked objects.

Perhaps, I'm missing something or not doing something right?

Probably

But it's hard for me to analyze this remotely...

If you have set yourself as system principal (I'm unsure if this requires a portal restart) and if you are using the AdminExplorer as layout set, then it should not be a problem.

Anyhow, also the report should do the trick...
