Copy function in Planning

Hello experts,

I am new to BPS and need your help to know how should i go about doing this . Below is my requirement

1) create planning at sales Org, Div, plant level for each fiscal year / period

2) There will be only one version that need to be maintained.

3) need to copy the plan data from one period/year to another period year at the start of each period. this is where i am lost. I cannot use the copy function with concrete values for fiscal year/ period, it has to be dynamic where the user can choose the period /year to be copied from.how can i create a planning function to dinamically copy from one fiscal year/period to the next period year in the user interface.
