Connection Error in CR using a universe to SAP BI

Hello everyone,

I just tried to create a report in Crystal Reports 2008 SP1 using a universe to connect to a SAP BI System. As described in this thread () I had to install CR in a virtual machine.

As the connection was no problem in the past through this virtual network based on a shared connection I am now struggling with connecting to a universe based on a SAP BI InfoCube. When I want to create this universe as a connection in CR it is possible to choose it and to arrange the dimensions and measures. Klicking "Next" is then showing an error: "Error on Logon".

There were no troubles while creating the universe and exporting it to the BOBJ Enterprise server. It is also no problem to use this universe with BOBJ Web Intelligence. I also reinstalled CR, the BOBJ Integration Kit for SAP and the BOBJ Client Tools.

Hopefully there is somebody out there with an advice to solve my problem

Regards

Christian Ficker

HI Christian,

You'll probably have better help from the integration kit forum so I moved this to that forum.

Thank you

OLAP universes are not supported in CR . Please use the direct SAP BW MDX driver instead.

Moving to the OLAP forum. Possibly if using the MDX driver doesn't work then they may have an option for you. If not then post your question to the BI forum.

Hi Christian,

OLAP Universes are not supported with Crystal Reports 2008.

Thanks for your help! Using the BW MDX Driver is working quite good. Nevertheless I thought that I was catching data throughout an universe from the SAP BI sometime ago... who knows
