Dear Experts,
Please help me understand the below queries:
1) is a blue print required to modify certain modules in an existing implemented project?
2) what is the mode of communication incase of improvement in the existing sap modules? What is the project called in this case.
For example: to improve sap PLM by integrating BOM with DMS and Material Master.
If these are all categories, change project is one of the implementation projects. It could also be called support project if the functionality is being adjusted to fit user request based on open support ticket or request.

This would be a change project in your organization. Not upgrade, that refers to broader activity upgrading the entire solution with new software capabilities.

If you are asking about the approach to structure and run your implementation (or upgrade) projects, I recommend you to check out the SAP Roadmap Viewer application for the latest guidance in SAP Activate Methodology. Direct link - https://go.support.sap.com/roadmapviewer/
I believe your sedans question is probably asking about release upgrade project or application of feature stack pack on existing release. The release upgrades for S/4HANA are released annually (one just happened in September 2018) and there are two feature stack packs that get delivered in between the major releases.
Hope this helps.

Appreciate your answer.
I am currently a super user and tier II support.
Based on based analysis, now we have a requirement to change the existing work flow of Engineering Change Management in SAP PLM.
This will basically be an improvement to the existing system.
So, my question is if this improvement is done then under what category of project (example :implementation, support, upgrade, rollout) will this come into?
Hi,
I'm not sure what is the relevance of this question in this forum.
If it's a minor enhancement, it could be taken up as a CR. In case of a VC upgrade, it will be project itself.
Thanks
Prem
