Route is not getting picked

Hi Friends,

while creating shipment document "Route" is not getting determined auomatically, can any one help me out why it is not appearing.

In sales order and delivery the Route is determined automatically

Hi Ram,

Please check whether planning, loading and shipment start are checked in shipment document then only route is picked up from dely/sales order.

This information is to be checked as plannned vs execution in shipment dealine tab.

The Planning, Check in, Shipping start, shipment completion were checked in.

Even though the route is not determined.

hello, ram.

i understand your requirement. in the past, i was able to configure the system so that the shipment document copies the route from the delivery document/s. right now i will try to recall how this was done. i do remember that there was a setting that you have to specify, which was to copy the route (there was also a sequence so that even if the routes vary among the delivery documents, the shipment document will copy the route from ONE of the deliveries).

there is also a setting so that the forwarding agent is automatically determined. let me try to remember this as well.

i will get back to you as soon as i regain SAP access.

Hi Ram,

In IMG>Shipment type under proposal section maintain the copy routine as "2" or "7". If you set it to 2 the route would get copied from delivery onto the shipment document and if you set it to "7" both the service agent and the route shall get copied.

Hi,

Check for service agent and any incompletion in shipment.

If thats okay try putting route manually in shipment.

hi,

As yuo know Route is determine on following factor,

Depature Zone of Shipping Point

shipping condition from sales document types/sold to party

Transportation group from Material master data( sale/plant data screen)

Transportation zone of SHIP TO PARTY (under Control tab of Customer master data)

now if it is not automatically determinig means some of above given data is missing that is reason it is not able to do so.

Thanks for your promt reply.

I done the entire setttings for the route deteminationa and the proposed route is very well determining in sales order and in delivery document but it is not determining in Shipment document (VT01N).

So my question is if the route is getting determined in sales order and delivery document why it is not determining in shipment document?

Hi

The route determination depends on following :-

{COUNTRY + TRANSPORTATION ZONE} of Departure Place + {COUNTRY + TRANSPORTATION ZONE} of Receiving Place + SHIPPING CONDITION + TRANSPORTATION GROUP = ROUTE (in ORDER)

{COUNTRY + TRANSPORTATION ZONE} of Departure Place + {COUNTRY + TRANSPORTATION ZONE} of Receiving Place + SHIPPING CONDITION + TRANSPORTATION GROUP + WEIGHT GROUP= ROUTE (in DELIVERY)

So do the customisation accordingly and check.
