Error Message: ORA-01092: ORACLE instance terminated.

Hi

I am getting the following error message while installing

SAP R/3 IDES System 4.7.1

Do have an idea why getting this error.

Installation Progress

At step: Oracle Database Build

An error occurred during the installation. 
Press the log view button to get extended 
error information, press Retry to repeat 
the current installation step or press OK 
to terminate the installation

CJS-00084  SQL Statement or Script failed. Error Message: ORA-01092: ORACLE instance terminated. Disconnection forced
ERROR 2009-11-24 08:43:26
FJS-00012  Error when executing script.

That just means an abnormal termination... you need to find out what trigger that.

Did you read the logs?

Hi ,

Just try to read the logs and also trace files,

reason for failure can be known through alertlog file,

try to post the error specified in alert<SID>.log located

in the saptrace/background directory
